UK Planet Tools Ltd is a dynamic and fast-growing company specialising in high-quality tools and equipment for professionals and DIY enthusiasts. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced HR Manager to lead our Human Resources department and contribute to the company’s continued success by developing and implementing effective HR strategies.
Purpose:
As an HR Manager, you will oversee all aspects of Human Resources practices and processes. You will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing HR operations, recruiting, performance management, and employee relations, as well as ensuring compliance with UK employment law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process, ensuring we attract, hire, and retain high-quality candidates.
- Oversee performance management and employee development programs.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of employees.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management, including managing employee contracts, disciplinary procedures, and handling grievances.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Develop and monitor HR strategies, systems, and procedures across the company.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Maintain pay plan and benefits program, including handling payroll-related inquiries.
- Assess training needs and implement effective training and development programs.
- Report to management and provide decision-making support through HR metrics.
- Promote a positive company culture that enhances employee morale and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and support employee well-being initiatives.
Personal Specification:
- Proven working experience as an HR Manager or similar HR Executive role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience in recruiting, onboarding, and managing employee relations.
- Ability to develop HR policies and procedures that promote a positive working environment.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- CIPD qualification or equivalent is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
